The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) Summit witnessed an extraordinary gathering of individuals dedicated to promoting Indigenous rights and cultural preservation. Among the notable participants were April Lawrie and Sandra Miller, who captivated the audience with their insightful discussion on the formation of Cedrent Enterprises and the relationship between Far West Coast Investments and the Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation.

April and Sandra, representing their respective communities, spoke passionately about their people, their rich cultural heritage, and the guiding principles of the Far West Coast, including the profound belief in the "right people for right country."

Further into the summit, Dan Walmsley (GM of Cedrent) discussed car hire, shedding light on the journey of Cedrent Enterprises and how it emerged from the partnership between Far West Coast Investments and the Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation. The formation of Cedrent was not merely a business endeavor but a testament to the shared values, cultural respect, and commitment to sustainable community development held by both organisations.
