Cedrent & BHP Gear Up for Progress: Custom Mine Spec Vehicles for BHP's Oak Dam Adventure
Majority First Nations Owned company, Cedrent Enterprises, has completed its first custom Mine Spec Hilux for use on BHP’s groundbreaking Oak Dam exploration program. The custom unit is one of many getting fitted out and mobilised for the project, which has recently received environmental clearance from the South Australian Government, marking a pivotal moment in resource exploration in the state.
Due to the site's remote location, the vehicle fit-out was developed to overcome the harsh South Australian outback conditions and ensure the highest level of driver safety.
The car was equipped with:
-
A Guardian Fatigue Camera - which uses proprietary face and eye tracking algorithms to detect whether a driver is fatigued or distracted and provides a real-time in-cab intervention to make the driver refocus their attention on the road.
-
Vibrating Seat - which is activated as a part of the Fatigue Camera to refocus the driver.
-
In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) - which records GPS location, excessive speeding, braking, and turning.
